6. Runway
   Runway refers to the amount of time a startup can continue operating before running out of money, based on its current burn rate. It’s an essential metric for determining when a company needs to raise more funds or cut costs.

   Example: A company with $500,000 in the bank and a burn rate of $50,000 per month has a runway of 10 months.

7. Equity
   Equity represents ownership in a company, usually in the form of shares. When entrepreneurs raise funding, they often offer investors equity in exchange for capital. The challenge is to maintain a balance between giving away equity and maintaining control of the company.

Take Off is an international startup summit, stands out as the premier startup event in the region. Since its inception in 2018, the summit has evolved into the largest gathering of diverse players in the startup ecosystem, including venture capitalists, angel investors, corporate venture capitalists (CVCs), limited partners (LPs), startups, mentors, and corporations. 

The Take Off Startup Summit in Istanbul (2023) aims to foster a global network that connects domestic startups with leading international counterparts, expert mentors, and institutions invited to the summit. The goal is to position Türkiye as an attractive destination for international entrepreneurship ecosystem stakeholders, enabling them to achieve their business expansion and networking objectives such as Web Summit, Slush and CES. 

Outcomes of the event 

At the Take Off event, ICYF International Incubation Center attended with five outstanding startups (Workiom, Tech2Bio, Goldframer, Robolabs, Akountmate). ICYF IIC booth attracted visits from over 200 players within the ecosystem. Also, we were privileged to welcome distinguished guests to our booth.
