International Incubation Center Launches in Istanbul: Fostering Innovation and Entrepreneurship Among OIC Nations
Istanbul, 24 February – The unveiling of the International Incubation Center (IIC) marks a significant milestone in the realm of innovation and entrepreneurship, spearheaded by the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF). The inauguration ceremony, graced by esteemed dignitaries including H.E. Mehmet Fatih Kacır, Minister of Industry and Technology, Mr. A. Burak Dağlıoğlu, President of the Presidential Investment Office of the Republic of Türkiye, H.E. Enes Eminoğlu, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, Mr. Erkam Tüzgen, General Manager of IT Valley and H.E. Taha Ayhan, ICYF President underscored the pivotal role of technology and innovation in shaping the global landscape.
H.E. Minister, in his inaugural address, highlighted the transformative power of nations adept at tackling challenges through information and innovation. He emphasized the emergence of leaders on the global stage through robust technology development, innovation, and entrepreneurship infrastructure. Burak Dağlıoğlu emphasized the IIC’s mission to fortify Türkiye’s regional influence through fostering entrepreneurship. He remarked, “We embark on this journey with humble beginnings, nurturing approximately 12 startups in each term. However, our vision extends far beyond, as evidenced by last year’s staggering USD 700 million investment in early-stage startups in Türkiye. Türkiye, as corroborated by international reports and indices, stands as the prime destination for startups in its vicinity. With easy access to capital and a dynamic market like Istanbul, the prospects for product-service development and testing are boundless.”
Taha Ayhan applauded the youth in Türkiye for their parity with Western counterparts and highlighted additional strengths within them. Erkam Tüzgen articulated the objective to position Türkiye as a global epicenter for technology and innovation.
The Investment Office stands as a pivotal stakeholder within the IIC, which serves as a pioneering initiative aimed at nurturing and enhancing the innovative entrepreneurial skills of youth across nations within the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

The International Incubation Center (IIC) was established in accordance with the signed trilateral agreement between the Presidency of the Republic Of Türkiye Investment Office, IT Valley of Türkiye, and the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF).
IIC aims to produce quality and competitive entrepreneurs by using innovative global trends to adapt them to the digital age. The center focuses on enhancing youth empowerment, intellectual leadership and innovation, building of platforms for personal growth, startup and entrepreneurial opportunities, engagement in community building, innovation and business initiatives.
IIC provides training like idea validation, team building, design thinking, company establishment, product development, marketing, project, and patent consultancy, mentoring, access to funds, global investors, and online training.
